Starsom Records, also known as Stars of Mercy Records, is a Nigerian record label founded by Sparkling Okim on August 28, 2026.
The establishment of the record label was inspired by Sparkling Okim’s vision to create a solid foundation for his younger brother, Boy Klay, while building a platform dedicated to nurturing musical talent and pursuing excellence in the entertainment industry.
The journey toward this vision began in 2015, when Sparkling Okim founded a music group known as IUSA (Ikom Upcoming Artists). The group later evolved into SME (Star Made Empire), marking an important chapter in his musical journey. Following the closure of Star Made Empire, Sparkling continued to nurture his passion for music and remained committed to bringing his long-standing dream to life.
In 2026, driven by his love for music, entrepreneurial spirit, and determination to create opportunities for emerging artists, Sparkling Okim began laying the groundwork for Stars of Mercy Records. What began as a personal dream gradually developed into a vision for a record label committed to supporting artists, developing talent, and creating opportunities within the music industry.
Boy Klay became the first artist signed to the label, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the journey of Starsom Records.
